Vision

El Puente de Encuentros will be a conduit of change for culturally and linguistically diverse and sustainable behavioral health services in New Mexico.

 

Mission

El Puente de Encuentros will take action to address the behavioral health needs of New Mexico through collaboration, education, and advocacy.

Our Goals

Goal 1

To support and cultivate leadership skills of culturally and linguistically diverse graduate and undergraduate students pursuing careers in the behavioral health field.

Objectives:

  • Provide a two-semester fellowship program that connects students to leaders in the behavioral health field through seminar presentations which facilitate dialogue, intentional reflection, and community building.
  • Promote leadership skills by guiding fellowship students in the development of innovative community-based projects that strive to address behavioral health issues impacting NM communities.

 

Goal 2

To develop and provide training opportunities for professionals in the behavioral health field to foster the implementation of programs, practices, and policies which are informed by research and trends impacting communities of New Mexico.
